How we handle your data.
Session-based protocol
MomentumChat uses the same QR session mechanism as WhatsApp Web. Your messages are transmitted through WhatsApp's own infrastructure — we don't proxy or store message content on our servers.
Data residency
Message metadata (timestamps, contact IDs, thread references) is stored in your HubSpot account — under your control, in your HubSpot data region. MomentumChat does not maintain a separate database of your conversations.
Access control
Access to WhatsApp conversations in HubSpot is managed through HubSpot's own permission system. You control which users and teams can see and reply to conversations.
Number security
Each connected number authenticates via a QR session. Sessions can be revoked at any time from the MomentumChat settings panel in HubSpot. We recommend using a dedicated device for production connections.
Enterprise compliance
For teams with strict compliance requirements around messaging (GDPR, HIPAA, financial services regulations), we recommend evaluating whether the API plan — which uses the official WhatsApp Business API — is more appropriate for your context.
